Woodrow Wilson "Mose" Hanspard was born October 23, 1916 to the union of the late Herbert Hanspard and Melinda Foster Hanspard in West Ouachita Parish.

He joined the Mt. Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church at an early age under the leadership of Rev. William Rush. He was united in marriage to the late Laura Parker on May 3, 1952 in Monroe, Louisiana.

His memories will be cherished by the family: one son; Murray Parker of Woodbridge, Virginia; one daughter: Dora Antoine of Renton, Washington; extended family which includes three sons: Otha Dubose, Charles Dubose and Milton Dubose all of West Monroe, Louisiana; numerous grandchildren: one brother; Samuel Hanspard (Margaret) of Los Angeles, California; one sister: Francis Roberts of West Monroe, Louisiana; a host of nieces, nephews, great-great nieces, great-great nephews, relatives and a community of loving friends.
