Memorial: Brother Jim Myles

Service Sunday, October 23, 1960

On March 12, 1876, the home of the late Mr. Pete and Mrs. Mary Jane Myles was a happy home of joy, on the arrival of a baby boy, Jim, who was born in Ouachita Parish, the youngest child of  the family.

He joined the Pleasant Grove Church at a early age, later united with Mt. Carmal, Jerusalem and Mt. Pleasant of which he was an active member until death.

He married the late Mrs. Jose Nelson and to this union a child was born, the late Mrs. Arleac Myles Beard.

After her death he married Mrs. Lizzie Russell Myles. They were blessed with 12 children.

Those who mourn his departure are: a devoted wife, Mrs. Lizzie Myles, five daughters, Mesdames Octavia Henderson, Calhoun, Louisiana; Virginia Bowers, West Monroe, Louisiana; Mary Jane Caleb, Houston, Texas, Ella Wee Austin, Los Angeles, California and Libean Camier, Alemeda, California; four sons; Mr. Leon Myles, Los Angeles, California, Mr. J.B. Myles, Chicago, Illinois, Mr. Peter Myles and Mr. Jimmy Myles, Monroe, Louisiana, twenty-six grandchildren, thirty-one great grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends.
