Memorial: Brother Robert Jackson

On October 8, 1933, Brother Robert Jackson was born to Mr. and Mrs. Earnest Jackson. He was reared in the Mt. Pleasant Community and united with the Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church at an early age.

He as a 1954 graduate of Central High, spent three years in the Armed Services, then attended Grambling College. He was employed as an insurance agent for Reliable Life Insurance at the commencing of his illness.

He departed this life March 30, 1976, at 5:00 a.m. in the Glenwood Hospital. His survivors include: his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Earnest Jackson, West Monroe, Louisiana; one sister, Mrs. Lillie M. Franklin, West Monroe, Louisiana; two brothers, Mr. Ivory Jackson, Oakland, California, and Mr. Curtis Jackson, Los Angeles, California; one son, Dennis Ray; four uncles; five aunts; three nieces; five nephews; and a host of relatives and friends.
