INTO THE LIGHT
A bird atilt on a wintry spray
Bade me "Good Morning" before it was day...
Praised the light and hailed the sun
Hours before the night was done.
And I took fresh heart for the hours
Ahead, knowing I, too, am blessed and led
By infinite love, by wisdom's might,
Out of the darkness, into the light.
