Memorial: Sister Ola Moss

"Into The Light"
Sister Ola Moss
Alpha (unknown)
Omega December 22, 1970

Service Saturday, December 26, 1970

Sister Ola Moss was reared and lived in the Mt. Pleasant Community most of her life. She united with the Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church at an early age and remained a faithful member until death.

She had no children but served as a devoted mother for her sister's children, Herberdean, Alonzo and the late Sister Lena Rush.

She departed this life December 22, 1970 at 11:30 A.M. in the St. Francis Hospital after a brief illness.

She leaves to mourn: two brothers, Dock Moss and Joseph Moss, Monroe, Louisiana; foster children, Mrs. Herberdean Jackson and Alonzo Jackson, Monroe, Louisiana; many nieces and nephews and other relatives.

INTO THE LIGHT
A bird atilt on a wintry spray
Bade me "Good Morning" before it was day...
Praised the light and hailed the sun
Hours before the night was done.
And I took fresh heart for the hours
Ahead, knowing I, too, am blessed and led
By infinite love, by wisdom's might,
Out of the darkness, into the light.
