Memorial: Reverend Willie Jackson

On January 20, 1985, 9:00 a.m. Reverend Willie Jackson, departed this life at St. Francis Medical Center in Monroe, Louisiana.

He was born September 12, 1918 in Eros, Louisiana, the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Saul Jackson.

He accepted Christ at an early age at the Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church in the community which he grew up. Reverend Willie Jackson, a pastor of Friendship Baptist Church, Litroe, Louisiana and Assistant Pastor of Union Chapel Baptist Church in Monroe, Louisiana where he remained a faithful servant until his health failed him.

On February 2, 1943, he was joined in Holy Matrimony to Mildred Williams in West Monroe, Louisiana, to this union six children were born.
He leaves to cherish his memories: a devoted wife, Mildred Jackson; five daughters, Mrs. Gloria Gilliam, Mrs. Judy Brown, Mrs. Betty Jackson. Mrs. Barbara Wooten and Miss Pamela Jackson, all of Monroe, Louisiana; one son, Mr. Harold Lee Jackson of Monroe, Louisiana; one daughter-in-law, Mrs. Carolyn Ann Jackson; one aunt, Janie Dear, Los Angeles, California; five sisters, Roszetta Taylor, Katie Morris, Annie M. Richardson, Eula Marasils and Tilla Hatter; one brother, Phillip Jackson, all of West Monroe, Louisiana.
