Memorial: Sister Clara King Jackson

On Thursday, February 5, 1976, at 10:15 AM, a beautiful life came to an earthly close.

Mother Clara King Jackson was born to the union of the late Josh and Debbie King in Jackson Parish. She was united in holy marriage to the late Saul Jackson, and to this union nine children were born. One son, Theodis Jackson, preceded her in death.

She came to Christ at an early age at the Plum Hill Baptist Church of Eros, Louisiana. Later, she united with the Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church of West Monroe, Louisiana, and remained faithful until death.
She is survived by: six daughters, Mrs. Annie Mae Richardson, Mrs. Rosetta Taylor, Mrs. Katie Morris, Mrs. Eula Marasils, Mrs. Helen Cole and Mrs. Tillie Hatter of West Monroe; two sons, Reverend Willie Jackson of Monroe, and Mr. Phillip Jackson of West Monroe; one sister, Mrs. Janie Dear of of Los Angeles, California; one brother, Mr. Jimmy Chambers of Gary, Indiana; twenty-nine grandchildren; fifty-eight great grandchildren; four great, great grandchildren; and a host of relatives and friends.
