Brother Hosea Jackson was born to the late Dillie and Marania Cassey Jackson on September 28, 1917. He joined the Mt. Pleasant Church at an early age and worked zealously in many departments.

He was united in holy wedlock to Sister Herberdean Jackson on October 19, 1944. To this union four children were reared. Brother Hosea was always loving and patient to his family, striving to make a good living for them, and to rear them in the fear and admonition of the Lord.

A faithful and devout Deacon, Brother Hosea Jackson served his church, community and fellowman humble. He has won untold men and women to Christ in his quiet, unassuming way and has ever been an example for the young manhood of his community to follow.

Brother Hosea served as President of the Senior Choir, Chief Usher, and a member of the Deacon Board. He was a faithful Sunday School worker and enjoyed vising various churches.

He worked at Olin for 31 years and retired from Plant 60 in January, 1980.
