On April 11, 1928, the home of the late Mr. A.D. and Mrs. Liller Butler Hanspard was a home of joy on the arrival of a baby boy, Willie, one of the nine children to that happy family of the Mineral Springs Community.

When quite young, Brother Hanspard joined the Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church under the pastorage of Rev. I.J. Johnson. Although very young, he lived a christian life. He as always found in the church services and worked loyally to the christian cause until he was stricken with ill health. He was a respectable citizen of the communities in which he lived.
Brother Hanspard was married to Miss Averis Jane Nelson June 28, 1948. This was a happy and lovable union. No children were added to this union. This happy union was ended Friday, September 20, 1957 at 11:40 AM.
