Memorial: Sister Easter Jackson Ingraham

"Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you"
Sister Easter Jackson Ingraham
Alpha April 17, 1915
Omega 1984 (month unknown)

Service Saturday, October 20, 1984

Sister Easter Jackson Ingraham was born April 17, 1915 in Ouachita Parish, Louisiana to the late Everett and Fannie Jackson. She joined Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church at an early age. In 1948 she moved to Yankton, South Dakota where she was a member of the Second Baptist Church. She remained in Yankton until 1971 when she moved to Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

She leaves in passing four sisters: Zula Holiday, Yankton, South Dakota; Lizzie Woodard, Monroe, Louisiana; Lydia Cokas, Los Angeles, California; and Amanda Griffin, Sheveport, Louisiana. She also leaves five children: three daughters, Leatha Ingraham, Laura Ingraham Willis, and Blanche Ingraham; and two sons Everett and Merritt Ingraham, all of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; six grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
I do not know why sorrow comes
and burning teardrops fall,
I only know God still is God
and watches over all.
I do not know why we must part
from loved ones and from friends,
I only know God's love lives on
and will live to the end.
