Service Sunday, March 19, 1961
A busy life came to a close Sunday, March 12, 1961, when Deacon Isaac Jackson was called from his labor to a place of eternal rest after spending a number of years of service in all phases of Christian life to help falling humanity.
Deacon Isaac Jackson joined the church at an early age and worked faithfully until death. He was always willing to do anything that he felt would help others. Patient, kindness, obedience, active and a pleasant smile was a part of his daily life. He was married to the late Josephine Bowers.
Their home was peaceful and happy. They sheltered many that came to them with open hearts.
Those who mourn his departure are: a grand-daughter, Mrs. Ida Mae Wiley, West, Louisiana; a grand-son, Mr. I.J. Roberson, West Monroe, Louisiana; nineteen nieces, nineteen nephews, many relatives and friends.
